About your Appointment

We see preteens, teens, and young adults (ages 10-30) in The Calabasas Pediatrics Wellness Center.

Office Hours are by appointment only.

Your first visit will take approximately 2-1/2 hours and will include a careful history, physical exam, in-house lab tests, blood draw and comprehensive assessment and discussions.

Follow-up appointments are shorter, usually 45 to 60 minutes.

A word to parents:

Our office policy is to set aside some time for Dr. Kaplan to talk with her adolescent patients without their parents/caregivers in the room. The goal here is two-fold:

To provide an environment where teens can talk about sensitive issues that might impact their health. Many teens talk openly with their parents about these things, but some, fearful that these might upset their parents, do not.
To allow the teens to start to take ownership of their health and begin the doctor-patient relationship that will hopefully carry on with future medical providers throughout their lifetimes.
